Making Dog Training Pleasure With All the Stay & Sit Game

How rewarding it’s for your puppy to sit down and stay calmly before you enable him to acquire some food, or treat or a toy dog. And on your pet, it’s a great experience to hold back until the order to be given by you. Because that is how your dog wants to interact with you. You are accountable for his space and he’ll obey and reward you when you make training fun.

The Sit & Stay Game makes training your pet to sit down and stay an enjoyable and rewarding experience for you both.

Rules of the Game

Choose a high-wages food and make sure that the pet is hungry and prepared to eat.

Choose the “Command” word. Keep it consistent, something like “Sit (or Remain or Wait)” functions well.

Choose the “No Benefit” mark word, something like “Nope (or Too Bad or Opps)” functions nicely.

View your own dog’s language. The way a dog says “please” is to go into the “sit” position.

Be patient.

Sit & Stay Food Bowl Game

When a dog needs food, a toy, to play, or simply going out the doorway, he looks for a command in the pack leader. So hereis an excellent manner to train your dog that is interesting and rewarding. At precisely the same time, you happen to be giving your dog the impression that you’re the pack leader:

Stand with one shoulder.

Start to lower the bowl straight to a floor. Then ask your puppy to sit down again. (You may really must step out of location in order to face your dog sidewise or put him back into place if he has scooted forward). The key is always to start fresh from the same position again.

When the SIT POSTURE is maintained by your pet, begin lowering the bowl to the floor–while he is still in location. If your puppy begins to get up to come to the bowl, pull the bowl. The key is that you will be bending down with all the bowl and pulling back with all the bowl until it can be placed by you to a floor while your dog is HOLDING THE SIT POSITION.

Make eye contact by means of your dog while he’s in the sit position. You want your pet to keep in the sit dog training harlow position AND also make eye contact, before you transfer the bowl to your pet and give him it.

Whenever you have put the bowl on the ground, say “Remain” (or your command word), wait several seconds, then move the bowl towards your dog and allow him to eat. Do not expect too much from your dog. Just a couple of seconds of HOLDING THE STAY SITUATION “wait” time is great at first.

When your puppy has kept the SIT & STAY for a couple of seconds, then transfer the bowl toward your dog and allow him to eat his food. You’re developing your own dog’s behaviour in order to get the reward, to sit down and await your command.

Recall both you along with your dog needs to understand the rules: to be able to get food your dog must hold the Sit & Stay position and look at you (not the food) to win the match!

It’s possible for you to try this with toy also, a ball or a treat. Keep it fun, laugh at your dog when he tries to cheat, when he gets it right and provide your pet praise.

The Stay & Sit Game isn’t just about training your puppy to sit down and stay for food. It is about the compliments you give–as well as the joy you get when your dog stays and politely sits for you.
